TR Greater Glory aka “Glory”

About

Her name says it all. We are truly blessed to welcome this gorgeous buckskin filly into our remuda. Glory is out of one of our top-producing ranch mares, Ms Freckles Chk Sanjoncita (a granddaughter of the legendary AQHA Hall of Famer, Colonel Freckles). Her powerhouse maternal lineage also boasts Genuine Doc, the iconic cutting horse and sire of Shining Spark.

Sired by our signature stallion, Fancy Cut Diamonds, Glory inherited an exceptional mind and an incredible willingness to learn. True to her royal pedigree, she is a natural-born leader who steps confidently into her role as the boss mare.

Pedigree Highlights

On the Dam’s Side:

The bottom side of this pedigree is anchored by the legendary Jewel’s Leo Bars (the original “Freckles”), a foundational cutting sire who produced Colonel Freckles—this mare’s grandsire. An AQHA Hall of Fame inductee, Colonel Freckles was celebrated for his elite athleticism, deep “cow sense,” and intelligence, with offspring earning millions across the NCHA, NRHA, and NRCHA. This mare also carries the blood of Sugar Bars, a program favorite renowned for injecting elite speed and high-quality performance into his foals.

On the Sire’s Side:

The top side reads like a history book of AQHA royalty, featuring:

• Diamonds Sparkle: An NRHA Hall of Fame inductee (1996) and AQHA Hall of Fame inductee (2007). She was an outstanding show horse and a legendary, blue-hen quarter horse broodmare.

• Doc Bar: The stallion who revolutionized the cutting horse industry. Inducted into the AQHA Hall of Fame in 1993, he was famous for his uniform, intelligent, and highly trainable colts. As Charlie Ward of the Jensen Ranch famously noted: “They’re easy to train, they have a lot of natural ability—every one of them is cowy.”

• Poco Bueno: An AQHA Hall of Fame legend (1990) who sired 405 registered foals, including 36 AQHA Champions and 3 NCHA Hall of Fame inductees. Trainer Bob Fagan once called him “the greatest horse I’ve ever been with… Gentle. And smart. Nearly all his colts were the same way.”
