Meet Tuxedo! 🖤 He is out of the very first foal crop by our own TR Courageous Spark, and we are absolutely over the moon about the quality of these babies!

Tuxedo is stunning, black, and beautifully put together. His pedigree boasts legendary names like Colonel Freckles and Peptoboonsmal, promising serious strength and athleticism. Best of all, he’s already showing that incredible, willing mind we strive for here at Third River Ranch. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this classy colt!

Dam’s Side:

• Jewel’s Leo Bars (“Freckles”): A foundational cutting horse sire and the sire of Colonel Freckles (AQHA Hall of Fame). Colonel Freckles was legendary for his athletic prowess, deep “cow sense,” and intelligence, with offspring earning millions across NCHA, NRHA, and NRCHA events.

• Sugar Bars: One of Tex’s favorite lines, renowned for producing elite speed event racehorses and high-quality, versatile performance horses.

Sire’s Side:

• Diamonds Sparkle: An outstanding show horse and legendary Quarter Horse broodmare. She was inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame in 1996 and the AQHA Hall of Fame in 2007.

• Doc Bar: A revolutionary force in the cutting horse industry (AQHA Hall of Fame, 1993). As Charlie Ward of the Jensen Ranch famously noted via the AQHA, “His colts are all uniform and possess a lot of sense. They’re easy to train, they have a lot of natural ability—every one of them is cowy.”

• Poco Bueno: An AQHA Hall of Fame inductee (1990) who sired 405 registered foals, including 36 AQHA Champions and 3 NCHA Hall of Fame inductees. Trainer Bob Fagan praised his legacy, stating, “Poco Bueno was the greatest horse I’ve ever been with… He was easy to handle. Gentle. And smart.
